Rishikesh Marble & Granite Pvt Ltd is located right on V I P Road. We’re in the Rajarhat Gopalpur area of Kolkata - 700136. If you’ve driven down V I P Road, you’ve probably seen us or places like ours. We have a lot of stone here. Marbles, granites, all stacked up. It’s heavy work and it’s often quite dusty. Our yard is full of different slabs that have come from all over. We spend most of our time moving these pieces around and showing them to people who are building houses or offices. It isn't a quiet job. There’s usually the sound of stone being moved or trucks coming in. We’ve been at this spot in Rajarhat Gopalpur for years. It’s a good location because the road is so wide and easy for the big trucks to get to. We aren't the type to have a polished showroom with air conditioning. It’s more of a practical yard where you can see the real material as it is. We talk to people about the different types of stone, what’s durable and what looks okay. It’s just a straightforward trade. We deal with the weight and the weather every day. If you need stone, you come to V I P Road and find us. That’s how it’s always been. We just keep doing what we know, year after year. It's tough work but it's what we've always done in this corner of the city.
