Our place is in Sodepur, specifically over on Nalindeb Biswas Road near the Sukchar Bazaarpara. If you know Kolkata, you know this area is always moving. The bazaar is right there, so there is always noise and people passing by. We work out of this location handling the regional needs for tiles and ceramics. The building is older, like many in this part of town, but it serves us well enough. We have a small team here. Most of us have been with the company for years and we know the local regulars by name. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a functional spot where we coordinate deliveries and check our stock. The monsoon season makes the roads a bit difficult around Sukchar, but we manage to keep things going. We don't really spend money on flashy decorations. We just have our desks, the files, and the phone that rings quite a lot. We try to be helpful when people come in with questions about their home projects. Living and working in Sodepur means being part of the local crowd. We see the same tea stall guys every morning. We just focus on the job at hand and try to make sure the inventory matches what the records say. It’s a busy life here in North Kolkata, but we are used to the rhythm of the bazaar and the neighborhood.
