Star Steel Works

We are located at Dx-64 in Gurgaon, right over in Kendriya Vihar, Sec-56. Star Steel Works is basically a local workshop where we handle metal. It’s not a corporate office. It’s a place with workbenches, heavy hammers, and grinders. Most of our day is spent measuring pipes or welding frames together. The neighborhood in Sec-56 is mostly residential, so we end up doing a lot of work for the houses around here. Grills, railings, and that kind of thing. The shop can get pretty messy with metal shavings all over the floor. We try to sweep up, but it’s a never-ending job. Sometimes the noise from the grinding machine gets a bit much, but the neighbors are used to us by now. We’ve been at Dx-64 for quite some time. It’s a small operation, just a few of us who know how to handle steel. We don't use any fancy computer programs to design things. We just draw it out on a scrap of paper or right on the floor sometimes. It’s practical work. If something needs to be strong, we make it strong. The heat in Gurgaon during June makes the shop feel like an oven, but the work doesn't stop. We just drink a lot of water and keep going. It’s a honest way to spend the day, working with metal and making sure things are built solid. We might not be fast, but the work lasts.
