Surya Roshni Ltd. has its presence here in Modi Nagar. It is a big operation and you can’t really miss it. The site is always buzzing with activity. There are trucks moving in and out of the gates at all hours. It isn't a quiet office job; it's a place where things are being made and moved. You can hear the sounds of heavy machinery and the clanking of metal if you stand near the entrance. The staff here mostly lives in the surrounding colonies, so everyone knows each other. We wear sturdy shoes because the ground is rough and there is a lot of walking to do across the site. The air smells like grease and iron. Inside the admin area, it is a bit quieter, but you still feel the vibration of the work happening nearby. We have big ledgers and computer systems to keep track of the output. It’s a very practical place. There is a lot of dust because of the industrial nature of Modi Nagar, so we are always wiping down the desks. We have a canteen where everyone grabs a quick meal during their shift. It is not a place for fancy talk or marketing slogans. It is just a large-scale facility where we put in the hours and get the production done day after day.
