S. N. Steel Fabrication

Out here in Sector-10, at D-232, things move at their own pace. S. N. Steel Fabrication has been operating from this unit for quite some time. It’s a standard setup, nothing you’d see in a magazine, but it works for what we need to do. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and checking the list of what needs welding or cutting for the day. Steel fabrication isn't exactly clean work, so the floors are usually marked up and there’s always a bit of dust floating around. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know the machines better than anyone. Sometimes the power goes out in the sector and we have to sit around and wait, which is frustrating, but that’s just part of being in this area. We handle all sorts of steel jobs. People bring in drawings on scraps of paper sometimes, and we figure it out. We don’t spend much on advertising because word of mouth usually keeps the shop floor busy enough. If you come by D-232, you’ll probably hear the grinders going before you even see the sign. It’s a loud place, but we like it. We focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the welds hold up. That’s really the main thing at S. N. Steel Fabrication. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done one by one. No frills, just getting the work out the door.
