Our shop, Ram Steel, is over at G-98 in Sector-9. It’s an industrial area, so there are a lot of other businesses doing similar work nearby. We deal with steel day in and day out. The yard is usually full of rods, bars, and various sections that need to be cut or loaded. It gets pretty loud with the metal clanging around, but that’s just how it is in this sector. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. You just walk in, find one of us, and tell us what you’re looking for. The sun hits the metal and makes the whole place hot by noon. We spend a lot of time checking the stock lists against what is actually on the floor. Sometimes a delivery is late, and we just have to wait it out with a cup of tea. Our neighbors are mostly other workshops, so we all know each other. It’s a straightforward business. We don't do much marketing or anything; people just know we’re in Sector-9 and they come by when they need steel for a project. We keep our tools handy and the scales calibrated. Every day is pretty much the same: unload, sort, sell, and load. It's a lot of physical labor but it keeps us going and pays the bills. We also have to be careful with the inventory counts because things move in and out of the sector so quickly.
