Ms Fabrication Works

The workshop is at 101 Dlf City Phase Iv, not far from the Bank of India. If you’re walking around that part of the city, you’ll probably hear us before you see us. There is a lot of grinding and welding happening at Ms Fabrication Works. It’s a hot job, especially in the summer months when the metal gets warm just sitting there. We deal with a lot of iron and steel pieces. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, no matter how much we sweep. Being near the bank is helpful because people use that as a landmark to find the gate. We’ve got all sorts of tools scattered around—wrenches, torches, and masks. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. Usually, people just stand in the doorway and show us what they need fixed or built. Sometimes we are working on gates, other times it’s small frames or repairs for local houses. It’s heavy work and our hands are usually stained with grease or dust by the end of the shift. We start early to beat the worst of the heat. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we started, with more buildings coming up, but we’re still here in Phase Iv. It’s a steady rhythm of cutting and joining metal. We just focus on the task in front of us until it's done and ready to be picked up.
