Kaka Ji Food Restaurant

Down in Noida Phase II, specifically in B BLOCK 134, you will find Kaka Ji Food Restaurant. This area is always full of people working in the nearby offices and factories, so our days are mostly dictated by their lunch breaks. We start early in the morning, chopping vegetables and getting the big pots ready on the stove. By noon, the place starts filling up and it stays loud until mid-afternoon. The tables are basic and the chairs are just there for people to sit and eat quickly before heading back to their jobs. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just some simple paint on the walls and the menu board near the entrance. The floor needs sweeping pretty much every hour because of all the feet coming through. It gets humid in the kitchen, but we keep the doors open to let some air in from the street. Working in B Block means dealing with a lot of noise and dust from the road, but we are used to it by now. We try to keep the food coming out steady so nobody is waiting too long on their break. It’s a straightforward operation. We focus on the cooking and the cleaning, and that keeps us busy enough from morning till the sun goes down. It is just a normal restaurant for the working people around Noida Phase II.
