Devyani International Ltd. has a spot at Shop No. 27 inside The Great India Place mall. That's in Noida, specifically Sector-38A. Working in a mall like GIP is quite an experience. It’s one of the biggest malls around, so there’s always something happening. Our shop, number 27, is just one small part of that huge building. We are there every day from the time the mall opens until it closes at night. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to people who walk in. The address is simple enough, but the mall is so big that sometimes people get lost looking for specific shop numbers. We are just a regular retail unit. We don't have a fancy back office here; everything happens right in the shop. I’ve seen the mall change over the years, with new stores coming and going, but we are still here at Shop 27. Noida-38A is a very modern area, very different from the old parts of Delhi. It’s all glass and steel and air conditioning. It’s a clean place to work, though it can feel a bit artificial sometimes. We don't use any corporate slogans or big missions. We just show up, open the shop, and do our work until it’s time to go home. It’s a practical way to run things in a busy commercial environment. The crowds can be a bit much on the weekends, but that is just part of the job for us.
