Our place is at 110/5 in Samar Vihar, which is part of the Khoda Colony area near Sector 62. Hariom Caterers isn't some high-end boutique; it’s a working kitchen and office. Most of our work happens in the early hours of the morning when we are getting everything ready. The smell of spices and cooking usually fills the whole street by 7 AM. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the kitchen, but we’ve learned how to move around each other without getting in the way. The office part is just a small desk where we keep the books and take orders over the phone. It’s often noisy because of the pots and pans clanging in the back. Khoda Colony is a very crowded area, so there’s always a lot of energy outside. We have a few delivery vans that we have to park carefully so they don't block the narrow lanes. We don't have a website with fancy photos of food. Most people find us by word of mouth or by just walking past. We focus on getting the food right and making sure it gets to where it needs to go on time. It’s hard work and we get tired, but it’s what we know. The floor is usually a bit sticky by the end of a shift, and we all smell like onions, but that’s the reality of catering. We just clean up and get ready to do it again tomorrow.
