This kitchen is located over in Sector 50, specifically at B 1/47. It isn't a massive restaurant with a hundred tables. It's much smaller than that. We started it because we realized that people living around here really missed the kind of food they grew up eating at home. Most of us work long hours and don't have time to stand over a stove for two hours making a proper meal. So we decided to do it ourselves. The kitchen gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when we have three or four things bubbling away at once. We use recipes that have been in the family for ages, nothing too fancy or modern. It’s just salt, spices, and fresh vegetables mostly. Sometimes we run out of something because the market didn't have good produce that morning, and we’d rather just not serve it than use something old. The staff here is like a small family. We argue about the salt levels sometimes, but we always figure it out in the end. It’s a bit noisy when the lunch rush starts, but that’s just how it goes in a kitchen. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just cook, pack the food, and hope people enjoy their lunch. It’s a simple setup in a quiet part of the sector, and that suits us just fine. We just want to keep cooking good food for the neighbors.
