We are based out of unit 20 in the Noida Special Economic Zone. If you have ever been to an SEZ, you know it is all about big gates, security checks, and a lot of grey buildings. It is not the most scenic place in the world, but it is where the work happens. Our space is basically a big warehouse with some office desks tucked into one side. There are always boxes stacked up and the smell of packing tape is pretty much everywhere. It is a practical environment. We don't have any artwork on the walls or fancy carpets. The floors are concrete and they show the wear and tear of moving goods around all day. The noise of the cooling fans is the main soundtrack to our day. Noida can get incredibly hot in the summer, and the industrial park feels even hotter with all the machinery around. We just keep our heads down and handle the shipments as they come in. Being at number 20, we are part of a long row of similar units. Everyone is busy with their own logistics. We take our lunch breaks together at a small table near the back. It is a straightforward way of working. There is no corporate polish here, just a group of people making sure the crates get where they need to go.
