Friends Metal Industries

Friends Metal Industries is based out of C-426 in Sector-10. It’s a decent sized space for what we do. We work with metal mostly, so there is usually a bit of a clatter going on. The sector is a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it, but we’ve been at this spot for a while now. It’s just a group of us working through the piles of material we get in. Some days are busier than others. We don’t really go for anything flashy. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we're usually too busy with the actual work to worry about that. Most of the time is spent handling the machines and checking the metal. It’s physical work. You get used to the smell of the shop after a few minutes. We try to stay organized, but sometimes things get a bit messy when a big order comes in. That’s just how a metal shop is. People around Sector-10 know where C-426 is. We just keep to ourselves and get the parts ready. It’s not a corporate environment by any means. We wear work clothes and get our hands dirty. It’s been this way since we started. There is always something to cut or weld. We just take it one day at a time here. It keeps us occupied. If we aren't out on the floor, we’re probably in the back checking the inventory. It's just simple metal work.
