Durga Handloom

We are Durga Handloom and we've been set up in Phase 2 on Gejha Road for a while now. We're quite easy to find because we're near the police station in Bhangel. People usually use the station as a landmark when they are coming to see us. We work with handloom items, which is something we've always been interested in. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights and mirrors. It's a more traditional kind of place where the focus is on the fabrics and the work itself. We spend our days surrounded by different materials and colors. It’s a lot of manual work and checking the quality of everything that comes in. We don't have a big corporate structure. It's mostly just a few of us who know about cloth and weaving. We like the vibe of Bhangel. It’s a busy, hardworking area and we fit right in. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just sell handloom products to people who want them. We have regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They know we're honest about what we have. We keep the shop open late sometimes if there's a lot to do. It’s just how it is when you run your own local business. We're proud of what we have here on Gejha Road and we keep it real.
