Divya Handicraft & Export Private Limited

You can find us at 25/22 in the Sangam Complex. It’s right in the middle of Sharma Mkt. in Sector-5, and it’s one of those places where everyone knows everyone else. Divya Handicraft & Export Private Limited isn’t a huge operation with a lot of layers. We’re just a small group of people working together in the market. The complex gets pretty crowded around noon, so we usually try to get our heavy lifting done early in the morning. There are always boxes of handicraft items sitting around waiting to be checked or wrapped up for shipping. We use a lot of bubble wrap and old newspaper to keep things safe. The office has some old wooden chairs that creak when you sit down, but they’re comfortable enough for a long day. We don’t spend much on decorations because the products themselves take up all the space. It’s quite dusty in Sector-5, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the tables and shelves. Exporting things involves a lot of forms and stamps, which keeps the desk looking cluttered most of the time. We mostly just keep our heads down and work through the list of things to do. Sometimes we share lunch from the dhabas nearby when things get really busy. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. The market is loud, the fans are noisy, and there is always a sense of being slightly behind on the schedule.
