Our shop is over at Plot F 56 in Sector 27, right near Indira Market. It’s a good location because we are close to where everyone does their daily shopping. We spend our days surrounded by fabric samples, paint swatches, and different types of wood. It’s often a bit cluttered in here because we have so many things to show people. When someone comes in, they usually have an idea for their house but aren't sure how to make it happen. We spend a lot of time talking about curtains, furniture, and where to put a new shelf. We aren't designers with big degrees, just people who have been doing this for years and know what looks decent. Most of our work happens in other people’s houses, so we are often out measuring walls or checking on the painters. It’s a messy job sometimes with all the dust and the smell of fresh varnish. We keep our records in a simple notebook and use a landline mostly. People from the market often drop in just to see what’s new in the window. We try to keep things practical because people just want a home that feels comfortable. It’s hard work and involves a lot of lifting, but we like seeing a room come together after a few weeks of labor.
