Our shop is located at D-12 on the first floor in Sector-9. If you aren't looking for the sign, you might walk right past the entrance because the stairs are a bit tucked away between the other buildings. We’ve been doing toolings here for many years now. It’s a noisy place most of the time with the machines running, and there’s always that heavy smell of cutting oil in the air. We aren't some big corporate factory with matching uniforms. Usually, we're just in our regular clothes, getting our hands dirty with the lathes and the drills. The floor gets a bit slick sometimes, so we have to be careful where we walk. We have a few older guys who have been with us since the very start, and they can fix almost any machine that breaks down. Sector-9 is a busy industrial patch, so there’s always something going on outside in the lanes. We don't do much in the way of fancy advertising or brochures. People usually find us because someone else told them we do decent work. Our office is just a corner of the floor with a desk piled high with blueprints and old invoices. We drink a lot of chai to keep going through the afternoon slump. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but that’s just part of life here. We just focus on making the parts as best as we can without any unnecessary drama.
