A. J. Metal Industries

We've been at Plot No. 368 in Sector-24 for quite a while now. It’s mostly just metal and machines around here. My father started A. J. Metal Industries when this area looked a lot different than it does today. Back then, we didn't have half the equipment we use now. We just handle metal parts and some industrial work that people need done. It gets pretty loud during the day, especially when the cutting machines are going full speed. Sometimes the floor is covered in shavings and we have to clear it out twice a day just to walk around. It’s not fancy. The office is just a small corner with a desk that’s seen better days. We don’t really do fancy meetings or anything. People just come by, tell us what they need, and we get to work on it. Some days are slow and we just sit around cleaning the tools, and other days we are working late under the tube lights because a big order came in. Sector-24 is a busy place, plenty of trucks moving in and out all the time. We know the neighbors well enough. It's just a regular shop where we do what we know how to do. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to fix them ourselves before we can get back to the metalwork. That’s just how it goes here. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to check a bill or something.
