Yoga Expert, Hyatt Regency

People sometimes get confused when they try to find us at House 336/B because we are tucked right there by the Balaji Store in Hari Nagar Ashram. It’s not a fancy gym setup you see on television. We do our yoga sessions and try to help people stretch out their backs and find some quiet in the middle of all the New Delhi noise. Working with Hyatt Regency means we have a standard to keep, but here in the Ashram area, things are a bit more relaxed. We have mats on the floor and a few fans going when it gets hot. Most of the folks who come in are from just around the corner or down the street. We’ve been at this address for a while now. The neighborhood knows us. Sometimes the traffic outside gets loud, but we just breathe through it. It’s just us here, a small team, making sure people know their poses. There isn’t any big secret to what we do. We just open the doors, sweep the floor, and wait for the regulars to show up. It’s a job like any other, but it’s nice to see people leave looking a bit less stressed than when they walked in. Hari Nagar can be a busy place, so having this little spot near the store works out well for everyone. We don't have a big front desk or anything, just a simple space for practice.
