We are over in Mayapuri, at House No. 29 in the Type-1 section of the Govt Press Colony. Mayapuri is mostly known for being an industrial area, but our little corner in the colony is a bit more settled. We work on hotel concepts, which basically means we think about how hotels should look and run. It’s funny because we are doing this from a regular house in a New Delhi neighborhood. Our office is just a converted space where we have our desks and drawings. The area is busy, with the 110064 pin code covering a lot of ground. You can hear the sounds of the city all day, but inside we are focused on our projects. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us who know a lot about the hospitality world. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to different vendors and looking at floor plans. It gets a bit crowded in the house when we have a lot of samples lying around, like carpet swatches or tile pieces. We’ve been here for a while and we like that it’s a practical location. It’s easy to get to different parts of Delhi from here. We don't need a fancy showroom to do our work. We just need our tools and some space to think about new ideas for hotels that might be built someday.
