Our place is tucked away at D- 1/18 A on Street No. 6 in Rajapuri. If you’re coming from Uttam Nagar, it can be a bit of a maze with all the narrow lanes and bikes parked everywhere. We’ve been working out of this spot for a long time now. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it’s where all the designing happens. We have a few machines running and there is always a lot of scrap fabric lying around the tables. Sometimes the noise from the street gets loud, especially when the vegetable sellers pass by, but we’re used to it. We don't have a big corporate office or a shiny lobby. It’s just rooms filled with patterns, threads, and people trying to get orders finished on time. We spend most of our day looking at sketches or checking the stitching on the new samples. It gets pretty dusty with all the materials, so we’re always cleaning up. We don’t really bother with big speeches or promises. We just focus on the work right in front of us. If someone needs a design changed, we do it right there. It’s practical work. Most of our neighbors are doing similar things, so there is a lot of activity on Street No. 6. We stay busy until late most evenings just to make sure everything is ready for the next day. The address might be a bit repetitive on the maps, but we are right there in the middle of it.
