We’ve been over here at C-4 in the Community Center at Naraina Vihar for a while now. Most days it’s just the usual hustle of trying to get things organized and making sure everything looks right before it goes out. People often ask what exactly Milano International does, and mostly we just focus on the clothes. It gets busy in this part of Delhi. You know how it is. Traffic is always a bit much, but we manage. My desk is usually covered in fabric samples and scraps of paper. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird humming noise, but we just ignore it. We have a small team here. Most of us have been around for years, so we kind of just know who is doing what without having to say much. It’s not fancy, just a workspace where things get done. We handle a lot of different orders, so the phone rings quite a bit. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost looking for the Community Center, even though we’ve been here forever. We try to keep things moving. There’s always another pile of boxes waiting in the corner. It’s a bit cramped when we get a big shipment in, but that’s just how it goes. We drink a lot of chai during the afternoon slump. It keeps the energy up while we check through the latest batches. Nothing too complicated, just working hard at our spot in Naraina Vihar.
