The Taj Mahal Hotel New Delhi

We are located at 26 New Market, in West Patel Nagar. It is a bit of a walk from the main metro station, but not too bad if the weather is nice. Even though the name Taj Mahal Hotel sounds like one of those giant luxury places, we are just here in Patel Nagar doing our thing. It is a busy market area, so there is always something happening outside the windows, like street vendors shouting or scooters zipping past. We have rooms and we look after people who are staying in this part of Delhi. The building is not brand new, so there is always a bit of maintenance to do, like fixing a leaky tap or painting a wall. We do not have a massive team of people in suits. It is just us in our regular clothes, making sure the beds are made and the fans are working for the guests. We get a lot of people who are in town for business or visiting family nearby. The market downstairs is great for food, which is lucky for us when we forget our lunch. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the guests about their day. It is not a fancy life, but it keeps us busy. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to shuffle around until the backup kicks in. It is just part of living and working in this neighborhood.
