The Park Hotel New Delhi

We’ve been at 5 Church Road in the Jang Pura Bhogal area of New Delhi for a good while now. Our spot is right in the thick of things where the neighborhood is always moving. It’s a grounded kind of place, nothing like those big shiny hotels you see in the movies. We deal with the real, everyday side of running a business. Most mornings start with the sound of the nearby shops opening up and the smell of breakfast being cooked somewhere close by. The building has its own personality, which is a nice way of saying it's seen a lot of years. We spend a lot of our time making sure the rooms are ready and the hallways are swept. It’s just a few of us here doing the work. We know the local shopkeepers and the guys who run the tea stalls down the street. If you stay here, you’re basically living in the heart of Bhogal for a bit. We don’t have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just try to make sure the water is hot and the beds are made. Some days the traffic on Church Road is a real mess, and other days it’s just the usual Delhi buzz. We like being part of this community. It’s not always perfect—sometimes a fuse blows or a tap leaks—but we fix it and keep going. It’s an honest way to spend the day.
