The Palm Court

The Palm Court is tucked away in R K Puram Sector 13, right across from the Hyatt hotel. It’s an interesting spot because while the hotel over there is all big and shiny, we are just a regular place over on this side of the road. We get a mix of people coming through. Some are just passing by, and others are regulars from the nearby government offices. It’s Delhi, so it’s always a bit chaotic outside with the cars and the heat. Inside, we just try to keep it cool and quiet. We’ve been here in 110022 for a while. We don’t put on any acts. The furniture is functional and the staff knows how things work. There isn’t a fancy lobby or anything like that. We just focus on getting the food to the tables. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook with people asking for directions because the turn-off can be easy to miss. We just tell them to look for the Hyatt and then look the other way. It’s a practical setup. We handle the daily grind of running a kitchen, from checking the produce to making sure the lights stay on. It isn't glamorous, but it is honest work. We’re just a part of the local scenery here in Sector 13. Every day brings something different, but the routine of the kitchen stays the same for us.
