The Oberoi Hotel,New Delhi

This isn't the big hotel building you might be thinking of. We are actually based in Malviya Nagar, specifically at Jf-10A, on the first floor. It is Flat No. 5 in Gupta Colony, right on the main road of Khirki Extension. This is where a lot of the behind-the-scenes work for the hotel happens. We handle things like bookings, paperwork, and coordinating with different departments from this office. It’s a bit of a tight space because it was originally a residential flat, but we have made it work for our needs. You can hear the noise from the Khirki Extn main road all day long. There are always rickshaws and people moving about outside. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and the occasional phone ringing. We don’t have a big sign out front or anything flashy. Most of the staff here have been with us for years and they know the routine by heart. We spend our days sorting out schedules and making sure the guest records are all correct. It’s a lot of administrative stuff that people don’t usually see when they visit a hotel. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, but that’s just life in Delhi. We are just a small group of people working hard in a regular colony flat to keep things running smoothly. It is practical work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
