The Metropolitan Hotel Nikko New Delhi

Being on Bangla Sahib Road puts us right in the heart of everything in New Delhi. You can hear the bells from the Gurudwara nearby and the constant hum of the city traffic. It’s a big building, and we have a lot of windows that we spend a lot of time cleaning because the Delhi air is pretty heavy. Inside The Metropolitan Hotel Nikko, things are a bit quieter than they are out on the street, but you still feel the energy of the city. We have guests from all over the world, but we also have locals who just stop by for a meeting. The lobby has high ceilings, and it can feel a bit cold in the winter months, but we try to keep it comfortable. The people working the shifts here wear uniforms, but they are regular people who know where to find the best street food in the surrounding lanes. We aren't trying to be one of those ultra-modern places that feel like a spaceship. We have been here long enough to know that things break sometimes and the traffic is always going to be a mess. We just focus on the day-to-day work of running a large hotel in a busy capital. It’s a lot of walking and a lot of talking to strangers, which is just the way we like it in this part of town, even when it gets overwhelming.
