The Metropolitan Hotel New Delhi

Our place, The Metropolitan Hotel New Delhi, sits over in Indira Vikas Colony. We are right by Sant Nirankari School in Kingsway Camp. Delhi is always noisy and moving fast, but this little corner is where we manage things. It’s at 4/4 if you’re trying to find it on the map. We’ve got rooms for people staying over and we spend most of our time changing linens or checking people in. It's a lot of work keeping a building running 24/7. Some days are slower than others. The neighborhood has a lot of students and families walking around because of the school nearby. We see the morning rush every day. It’s not like those giant five-star places you see in movies; it’s more of a regular building where we try to keep things clean. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or we have to paint a wall, that's just how it goes with old buildings. We’ve been here in the 110009 zip code for a while now. Most of the staff lives close by. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure guests have a bed and a key. It's plain and simple work, really. We keep the registers and hope for a smooth day without too many complaints about the traffic outside. It's just a job for us, and we do our best with what we have here.
