The Metropolitan Hotel, Five Star Deluxe Property

This hotel office is on the second floor of B-1043/1 in Shastri Nagar. Now, Shastri Nagar is a very crowded area of Delhi, and finding the right building can be a bit of a puzzle the first time. We are up on the second floor, so you have to walk up some stairs that are a little steep. It is a five-star deluxe property on paper, but this specific office is where the actual grit and work happens. It is not all gold leaf and marble here. We have stacks of linens sometimes waiting to be moved, and the phones are always ringing with bookings or complaints. The staff room is small and we share a single microwave for lunch. You can hear the noise from the street below all day long—rickshaws, bikes, and people shouting. It is just the reality of being in this part of Delhi. We try to keep the office organized, but there are always papers everywhere. It is a busy environment and we are always on our feet. We do not have a big fancy entrance for this part of the building. You just come in through the main door and head up. It is a practical space for a hotel business. We have been here for a good while and the location is good for getting around the city.
