The Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon

The Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon actually operates an office out of Flat No-71 in Pocket-E of Mayur Vihar Phase-II. Even though the name mentions Gurgaon, this spot in Delhi 110091 is where we do a lot of our work. It’s a flat in a residential pocket, so it’s not what you would expect for a big hotel name. We have converted the rooms into workspaces with desks and files everywhere. Mayur Vihar Phase-II is a busy residential area, and being in Pocket-E means we are right in the middle of a local neighborhood. It can be a bit of a challenge to find us if you aren't familiar with the flat numbers in the block. We handle a lot of the coordination and planning from this flat. It’s a lot of phone work and dealing with vendors. The space is a bit tight, especially when we have meetings, but it serves its purpose. We don't have a fancy entrance or a uniform for the people working here. We just dress casually and get through the tasks for the day. Sometimes the neighborhood is noisy with kids playing or people coming and going, but that is just life in a Delhi flat. We have been here for a while and it works for us. It’s a down-to-earth way to manage the business side of things without the pretense of a corporate headquarters. We just show up and put in the hours every single day like everyone else.
