The Lalit

You can find us over at the Hindustan Times Apartments in Mayur Vihar Phase 1, specifically in unit 4-C2. This isn't the big hotel people usually think of when they hear the name. It is just a small administrative office we use for some of our back-end work here in Delhi. The apartment is on one of the middle floors and it’s a regular living space that we’ve filled with desks and filing cabinets. We’ve been using this spot for quite some time now because it’s a quiet place to get things done. The balcony has a view of the other buildings and some trees. We spend our days on the phone talking to the main office or organizing schedules. It’s not a very formal environment. We sit around the dining table for meetings and keep our records in the spare room. The kitchen always has a kettle going for tea. We don't have any big signs on the door, just the apartment number. The staff here is small and we’ve all worked together for a long time. Sometimes the building elevator is being repaired, so we have to walk up the stairs. It’s a very practical, low-key setup. We handle the paperwork and the bookings without much fuss. It isn't a place for guests to visit, just a spot where we handle the daily chores of the business in a normal neighborhood with normal people.
