The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group

If you head down Barakhamba Avenue, you’ll see the Palace building where we’re based. It’s right in the middle of everything in New Delhi, so there’s always a lot of traffic and people in suits walking around. Being part of The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group sounds like it would be all fancy dinners and marble floors, and parts of it are, but for those of us working behind the scenes, it’s just a lot of hard work. We spend our days in the offices making sure the hotels are running the way they should. There’s a lot of paperwork, endless meetings about schedules, and making sure the staff have what they need. The lobby is grand, sure, but the back hallways are where the real work happens. We don’t really go for the corporate talk. We just focus on the guests and the rooms. Sometimes the elevators are packed or the phones won't stop ringing, and you just have to take a breath and keep going. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and we’ve seen the city change a lot from our windows. It’s a busy life, and we don't always get it perfect, but we try to keep things moving. We’re just a group of people who care about how a hotel is run, working from a big building on a famous street in the city.
