Even though the name mentions Gurgaon, we are actually based out of Palam Colony in New Delhi. Specifically, we are at Mr. C.N. Pandit’s place, RZF-765/12 in Rajnagar II. It’s a very different vibe from the big hotels. Here in Palam, the streets are narrow and it can get quite crowded. We handle the behind-the-scenes stuff from this office. It’s a bit of a drive to get to the actual hotel property, but this is where the coordination happens. The room is often full of folders and notes about guest requests and schedules. It’s not a shiny office building; it is a real house in a real neighborhood. You can hear the neighbors and the street vendors outside while we work. We drink a lot of chai and spend hours on the phone or the computer. Dealing with hotel logistics from a home office in Palam is just our reality. It’s practical and it keeps our costs down. We don’t have a fancy lobby here, just some chairs and a desk that has seen better days. It is about getting the work done and making sure everything runs smoothly for the guests elsewhere. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the people around here know us. It’s just a normal day-to-day grind for us in Rajnagar. We keep track of everything on our old computers and hope the power stays on during the long summer afternoons.
