The Bristol Hotel, Gurgaon

This is our office at G-13A, on the first floor in New Delhi, right near the border with Haryana. Even though the name says Gurgaon, this specific spot is where we handle some of our back-end things. It’s a small space, not at all like the actual hotel building. We’ve been here for a bit, and the 110019 area is always humming with activity. The office is nothing special to look at, just a few rooms with some filing cabinets and old desks. We spend a lot of time sorting through papers and taking calls. It’s the kind of place where the tea lady knows exactly how much sugar everyone takes. We have a few windows that look out onto the street, which is always full of cars and people. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but we just ignore it. We aren't here to look professional in suits; we’re just here to get the admin work done so the hotel can run smoothly. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so we have to be careful when moving boxes. It’s a very practical, everyday kind of environment. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do what needs to be done, and try to keep things organized in our own way.
