The Ashoka Hotel

The Ashoka Hotel is located over in Dakshinpuri, specifically at F-62/63. We are in the southern part of New Delhi, with the 110 062 zip code. This isn’t the big five-star hotel with the same name that people often think of when they hear it. We are a much smaller, local place right in the heart of the community. Our building is right on the street, and it’s always lively around here. There are shops all around us and people constantly moving about at all hours. We have several rooms that we rent out to travelers who are looking for a place that doesn't cost a fortune. It’s a bit basic, but the beds are comfortable enough and we make sure the fans are working well. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything is in order for the next guest to arrive. The stairs can be a bit steep, so we usually help people with their luggage if they have a lot of bags. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, but that’s just how it is in this part of town and we deal with it. We’ve been here for years and know most of the people on the block. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always someone around if a guest has a question or needs directions to the nearest bus stop. We don't have any fancy room service, but there are plenty of places to eat just outside the door. We just keep our heads down and do our work.
