The Aman,New Delhi

The Aman is a small guest house located at 44-Birbal Road in the Jangpura Extension area of New Delhi. We have been here for a long time, and the neighborhood is one of those places that feels a bit more relaxed than the rest of the city. We are in the 110014 zip code, and most of our guests come here because they want to be somewhere quiet but still close to the main parts of Delhi. The building itself is an older one. It has some character, like the heavy wooden doors and the way the stairs creak a little when you walk up them. We have a small number of rooms that we look after ourselves. We don't have a big team of maids or a professional chef. Usually, it is just a couple of us doing the cleaning and making sure there is fresh water for everyone. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the small desk near the entrance. We talk to the people who stay with us and give them directions to the local shops or the nearest metro station. We focus on making sure the linens are clean and the bathrooms work. It is not a luxury hotel, but it is a place where you can get some rest.
