Taj Palace Hotel,New Delhi

We are located on the top floor of House Number 137 G in Pocket A-3, over in Mayur Vihar Phase 3. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s a lot quieter than the middle of New Delhi. Being on the top floor means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is nice during the humid months. This isn't a big hotel building; it’s more of a specific office or a small branch operating out of this house. We spend most of our time dealing with bookings and coordinating things over the phone. The stairs up to the top floor can be a bit of a workout if you’re not used to them. We’ve got a small team here, and we all know each other pretty well. It’s a very different vibe from the big hotels downtown. Here, we can see the kids playing in the street below and hear the vegetable sellers calling out in the mornings. Our day is usually filled with managing schedules and making sure the paperwork for the New Delhi operations is in order. We don't have a lot of walk-in traffic because of the location, so it stays fairly peaceful. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure nothing gets missed in the system. It’s a simple, hardworking environment without any of the fancy decorations you might expect from the name, just real people doing their jobs.
