Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi

We’ve been running the Taj Mahal Hotel over here in Gaffar Manzil for a while now. It’s right near Jamia Nagar, which is usually quite busy. Most people who come stay with us are just looking for a place to sleep while they do their work in Okhla. We have the usual rooms and stuff you would expect. It’s not fancy, but we try to keep things clean. Sometimes the street gets a bit noisy with all the traffic outside, but that's just New Delhi for you. I’ve lived around here most of my life so I know the area pretty well. The staff mostly comes from nearby. We don't really do much advertising because people usually just find us by walking in or hearing from a friend. There are a lot of food spots around the corner too. If you need a towel or some water, you just have to ask the guy at the front desk. He’s usually there most of the time. We aren't part of some big chain or anything, just a local spot doing what we do. It’s a simple setup. We’ve got the address at D 13 and it’s easy to spot once you get into the lane. It’s just a place to stay, nothing more, nothing less. We just keep the doors open and see who comes by. Hopefully, the fan works well in the heat. That's about it really. It works for us and the guests don't complain much.
