Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi

Even though the name says Taj Mahal Hotel, our office is actually on the first floor of N-71 in Kirti Nagar. This isn't the big hotel building you might be thinking of. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff and administrative work from this location in New Delhi- 110015. Kirti Nagar is famous for furniture, so there are always trucks moving big items around our building. Our office is a bit old-fashioned with wooden desks and lots of paper files. We spend the day coordinating different tasks and making sure the records are updated. It can be quite dull sometimes, just typing away and answering the phone. We take our breaks at the small stalls downstairs for some tea or a quick snack. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but we are used to them now. It is a quiet office for the most part, except for the sounds of the street outside. We have a small team here and everyone knows their role. We don't have any big meetings or corporate presentations. It is just about getting through the daily list of chores. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in. We’ve been at this Kirti Nagar address for quite some time now and it feels like home to us. It is just a regular place where people come to work every day and do their best.
