Taj Mahal Hotel New Delhi

This location is over at Number 1 Mansingh Road, which is a pretty famous spot in New Delhi. We have Keshav Chand and the rest of the team working out of here. Even though the name sounds very grand, for us, it’s just where we go to work every morning. The building is old and has a lot of history, but it also means there’s always something that needs fixing or painting. We spend our time managing the daily needs of the hotel. It’s right in the heart of the city, so we see all kinds of people coming through. The gardens outside are nice, and we try to keep the grass green even when the Delhi heat is really bad. Inside, there are lots of hallways and rooms that have been there for decades. We don't really talk much about "luxury" or anything like that. To us, it’s about making sure the floors are swept and the guests have what they need. Some of the staff have been here for twenty or thirty years, so they know every corner of the place. It’s a busy environment with a lot of moving parts. We eat our lunch in a small break room in the basement. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes. We aren't trying to be anything other than a solid place for people to stay while they are in the capital. It’s just a regular, albeit large, workplace for all of us.
