Taj Hotels

This location in Jang Pura Extension at N-21/B isn't one of the big, famous hotels you see in the pictures. It’s more of a back-end office or a residential base for some of the staff. Jang Pura is an older, established part of New Delhi with narrow streets and a lot of character. Our building is a regular house that’s been converted into a workspace. Inside, it’s quite different from the luxury you’d find at a Taj resort. It’s just rooms with desks, phones, and people working on schedules or procurement. We handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff that makes the hotels run smoothly. It can get pretty hectic when there’s a big event or a busy season coming up. We don't have a fancy lobby here, just a small entrance where the security guard sits. The atmosphere is more like a family-run office than a global hotel brand. We share tea, talk about our day, and try to get through the mountain of emails that always seems to be waiting. Parking around here is a nightmare, so most of us take the metro or a rickshaw. It’s a very grounded, everyday kind of place. We’re just the people in the background making sure the supplies are ordered and the staff rotations are set. It’s a lot of work, but we’re used to the routine by now.
