Taj Ambassador Hotel

This place is tucked away in Mayur Vihar Phase 3. It’s at 117-B, over in Pocket A2. If you know Delhi, you know this part of town is pretty packed with people and houses. We’ve been running the Taj Ambassador Hotel here for some time. It's not one of those massive glass buildings you see downtown. It’s more of a local spot where people come to stay when they have work in the area or family visiting nearby. The rooms are basic but they work. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure the blankets are fresh. Sometimes the plumbing acts up because the building isn't brand new, but we fix it pretty quick. My nephew helps me with the front desk sometimes. It’s a family kind of thing, really. We don’t have a fancy website or a big marketing team. People usually find us by word of mouth or just by walking down the street in Phase 3. The neighborhood is lively, there's always something going on outside. We get a lot of regulars who come back every few months. We know their names and how they like their tea. It’s just a job for us, keeping the place running and making sure people have a bed for the night. It's quiet enough for a good sleep. We just keep things simple and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door.
