Straps

Our shop, Straps, is located at Rz- 38 in Madanpuri, right on Street No. 10 in Sagarpur West. New Delhi is a crowded place, and our little corner is no different. The street can be quite narrow, so getting things in and out is always a bit of a challenge, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We handle all sorts of things related to the name, and the workspace is usually covered in materials and tools. It’s a bit noisy with the fans and the sounds from the street, but that’s just Delhi for you. No receptionist or lobby is found here. When you walk in, you’re basically in the middle of where the work happens. It’s a family-style environment where everyone chips in. Some days we are buried in orders, and other times there is time to sit and have a long chat over chai. We don't put on any acts for people. What you see is exactly what you get. The building itself is just a regular Delhi structure, nothing special to look at from the outside, but it works for us. Most of the people on Street 10 are familiar faces, and there’s a good sense of community here. Focusing on getting the work out the door and keeping our heads down is our main thing. It’s a practical way to run things, and it has served us well so far. We just keep our tools ready and our hands busy.
