Singhania Alu-foil Containers Manufacturing Co.

Our workshop is at No. 4215/1a on Ansari Road in Darya Ganj. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how tight the lanes are and how much is always going on. It’s a historic area, but for us, it’s just where we make aluminum foil containers. The noise of the presses is constant. We spend our days turning sheets of foil into those containers everyone uses for food. It’s a messy process sometimes, with scraps of silver foil everywhere, but we sweep up at the end of every shift. The building is old, like most things in Darya Ganj, and the walls have that worn-in look. We don’t have a fancy office upstairs. Most of the space is taken up by the raw materials and the finished stacks ready for delivery. Ansari Road is always crowded, so getting the tempo trucks in and out is a bit of a nightmare every morning. We have to time it just right or the whole street gets blocked. The staff knows the routine by heart now. We eat our lunch together in the small back room away from the machine heat. It’s a tough environment when the sun is out, but the work is steady. We’ve been manufacturing these containers for quite some time, and the machines have their own quirks that only we understand. It’s just a regular local business doing its thing and trying to stay out of the way of the heavy traffic.
