Shangri-La Hotel

We have been here at 175, Sector 19 in Dwarka for a while now. It is a busy part of Phase I and there is always something going on outside. The building itself stays pretty steady despite all the noise from the streets. Usually, the mornings start with the staff getting the lobby ready and checking the lists for the day. We don’t have a big corporate speech to give people. It is mostly just about making sure the rooms are clean and the lights are working like they should. Pocket III is a nice spot because it is easy for people to find us when they are coming from the airport or other parts of Delhi. Sometimes the traffic is a bit much but that is just how it is around here. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the maintenance and making sure the water is hot and the AC is cold. It is not always perfect but we try to keep things moving. The front desk gets a lot of questions about where to eat nearby or how to get to the metro. We just answer them as best as we can based on what we know. Most of the folks working here have been around for a bit so they know the area well. It feels like a small community inside the bigger city of New Delhi. We just do our thing every day and hope for the best.
