If you look for Saurabh Creations New Delhi, you’ll find us at 37 Rajouri Apartments in Rajouri Garden. It’s more of a residential setup than a big factory, which suits us just fine. We work out of this space, and it gets pretty cramped with all the boxes and samples lying around the rooms. The living area is basically taken over by workstations and fabric rolls. We don't have a fancy storefront with glass windows to show off. People usually find us by word of mouth or if they live in the complex. Delhi summers make it quite hot in here, even with the fans going full blast all day. We spend our hours sketching out ideas or checking the stitching on the latest batch of items. It’s a bit chaotic at times, especially when multiple orders are due at once. There’s always a pot of tea going in the kitchen area to keep us going. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation; we just like making things. The neighbors are used to the delivery trucks coming in and out by now. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up carrying rolls of fabric up the stairs. It’s tiring, but it’s just part of the job. We keep it simple and just focus on the work right in front of us. It’s not a polished operation, but we get the orders out and keep moving onto the next thing.
