Sarovar Hotels

We are based out of 983, Vikas Kunj, which is in the Vikaspuri area of New Delhi. This isn't actually one of the hotels you might stay in, but more of the place where things get organized. Sarovar Hotels has a lot of moving parts and this office handles a chunk of that. The building is a bit older and the stairs can be a bit steep. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of folders. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It’s not the most glamorous side of the hotel business, but it is necessary. Vikaspuri is a crowded place so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a struggle with the traffic. Once we are inside, it’s just the usual office routine. We share lunches and complain about the heat when the AC acts up. There is a lot of talk about bookings and management stuff. We don't have a big sign outside that lights up at night. It’s just a regular spot in a residential-commercial mix. Most of the staff here have been around for years. We know each other’s families and what everyone likes to eat. It’s a tight space but we make it work. New Delhi 110018 is where we spend our eight hours every day, just keeping the gears turning for the rest of the company.
