We’ve been at 801A in Rohit House 3 on Tolstoy Marg for a good while now. If you know Barakhamba Road, you know it gets pretty hectic during the day. Our office is just one of those places where the phones keep ringing and there is always some paperwork sitting on the corner of the desk waiting for attention. It’s a busy spot, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the building. Most mornings start with getting the computers up and running and maybe grabbing a quick tea from the stall downstairs before the elevator gets too crowded. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big reception area with a water feature. It’s just a workspace with some desks, chairs, and filing cabinets that have seen better days. People come in and out, usually looking for help with specific service tasks. We spend a lot of our time looking at screens or talking to people who drop by. It’s not the most glamorous job in the world, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the AC acts up when it’s really hot outside, but we manage. You’ll find us right there on the eighth floor. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes if you aren’t used to the layout of these older office blocks in the city. We just focus on getting through the daily list of things that need doing. It’s a lot of routine.
