Abdul Wadood Khan & Sons

We are located at G-5 on the lower ground floor in the Lawrence Road Industrial Area. It’s a family thing here at Abdul Wadood Khan & Sons. My father and brothers are usually around, and we’ve been working from this same spot for years. The lower ground stays a bit dusty because of all the trucks moving on Lawrence Road, but we keep the doors open for some air. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls. It’s a place where we actually get our hands dirty every day. We deal with a lot of different people, from truck drivers to suppliers, and it’s always a bit loud. The workspace is filled with old folders and some samples of what we do. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you just talk to whoever isn’t on the phone. Sometimes we lose track of time because there’s so much to manage. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with big words or fancy brochures. We just value the fact that we’ve stayed in business this long at this address. Lawrence Road has changed a lot, but our routine is pretty much the same as it was ten years ago. We wake up, come to the shop, and work until it’s time to go home. That’s the whole story for us.
