Lumber Life

We are tucked away at No. 12-13/5 on Chowk Qutab Road, right in the middle of Sadar Bazar. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded it gets. There’s always someone shouting, a cart passing by, or the smell of wood in the air. We’ve been handling lumber for quite some time now. Our shop is packed with different kinds of wood. It's a bit of a tight squeeze sometimes when a new shipment comes in. We spend most of our time measuring lengths and making sure the piles are steady. It's hard work and your hands get rough after a while, but it’s what we know how to do. The neighbors around here are all doing their own thing, selling different goods, so it’s a lively atmosphere. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most people just walk in or call us up because they’ve known us for years. The floor is usually covered in sawdust by noon. We try to keep things organized, but in a busy market like Sadar Bazar, things have a way of getting messy. We drink a lot of tea while we talk to the people who stop by. It’s just a normal day-to-day life for us here. We like the smell of fresh cut timber and the sound of the market waking up every morning. It feels right being part of this community and doing things the old way.
